Jon Platson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin who has more than twenty-five years of experience working in mental health and related fields. He has both a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Social Work, with his graduate studies being focused on clinical practice. He has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) since 1997.

Understanding and helping overcome the impact of life stress and trauma is one of Jon’s specialties. He has advanced training and experience with ACT, CBT, TFCBT, EMDR, CPT, DBT, and other therapies to address conditions including but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, and PTSD. Jon has been actively engaged in local, regional, and state-wide efforts to develop, improve, and enhance mental health and human services systems. As both a clinician and an organizational leader in a variety of settings, Jon has the experience to assist those in direct need of help or support. He is also equipped to assist helpers, educators, and other professionals who themselves are in the role of providing care or support to others.

In addition to his work in mental health and related fields, Jon also has a rich history of working in experiential and adventure education, using experience-based strategies to help groups, teams and organizations improve their functioning. He has facilitated numerous team-building and related programs for a variety of groups. He has been a member of the Association for Experiential Education (AEE), and has been part of planning, hosting, and presenting at regional and international conferences.

When not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and family, often in the outdoors and on or near water. He values all of the recreational opportunities that Wisconsin has to offer.
